![]() ![]() Using the Red in the top right corner to exit after a file save is potentially dangerous if the file is large or you are writing to an external drive which may make file saving slower. We would STRONGLY recommend that everyone exits the program from the File - Exit menu as this will ensure that the program has finished writing the file and is responding once again to the user. The Red on this window does not send a message to VCarve Pro or Aspire it just kills the process!This leads to a truncated file on the disk missing some of the data. ![]() In this case, Windows overlays the programs main window with a copy of the original screen (with 'Not Responding' appended to the title bar). Unfortunately, if the file is large, and takes more than 6 seconds to save, Windows decides that the program is not responding (even though it is writing a file using Window's file I/0). It turned out the problem was that he wasn't waiting for the file to finish saving and was closing the program from the red in the top right corner. While Beta testing for the new version one of our users managed to corrupt his files quite regularly.
